Using the browse tool, you will find the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), the Prekindergarten Guidelines, the Texas College and Career Readiness Standards, the English Language Proficiency Standards, and the TEA Essence Statements.

In this section, TEKS are arranged in the following order:

  • Subject Area
    • Strand

        • Student Expectations.

Please begin by selecting either the TEKS Subject Area or the Additional Standard Set that you wish to explore.

            • Student Expectation - WG.14A: Analyze current events to infer the physical and human processes that lead to the formation of boundaries and other political divisions.
            • Student Expectation - WG.14B: Compare how democracy, dictatorship, monarchy, republic, theocracy, and totalitarian systems operate in specific countries.
            • Student Expectation - WG.14C: Analyze the human and physical factors that influence control of territories and resources, conflict/war, and international relations of sovereign nations such as China, the United States, Japan, and Russia and international organizations such as the United Nations (UN) and the European Union (EU).
